Confidence Trips
Mindscapes is photography and peer support group based in Chesterfield.We support people who are 17+ years plus and learning to manage their mental health.We enable individuals with essential life skills to empower themselves by utilising our lived experience with mental health, training, creativity and photography.Members can form new friendships, gain access to further support, bring along a support worker or healthcare professional and develop confidence and resilience to maintain mental health and well-being.

Every Tuesday 10:00 am till 1:00 pm
10.00 am to 11:00 am - We meet up to support each other before we go for our photography walk.11:00 am to 12:00 pm/ish - We go for a photography walk around the local area and further support as we go around.12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - We arrive back at the hub for refreshments and we chat about our day and share the photos we’ve taken.

Snap & Chat.
We are a mental health peer support group giving you the chance to use photography and explore the local area.We go for a 45 minute walk and take some photos followed by a chat and refreshments afterwards.No experience is necessary - a camera phone or camera is needed on the walk, or just come down for support and a chat.
Fortnightly on a Saturday from 10:00am till 12:00pm

Breakfast Club.
The Breakfast Club is a warm and welcoming group about supporting individuals who wish to overcome isolation or social isolation by gaining new friends over breakfast and a cuppa.Engage in a supportive framework and learn about what’s available in the wider community.
Every Thursday morning 10.30 am to 12.00 pm.

Confidence building trips are aimed around supporting individuals, building new friendships, visiting new places, overcoming isolation while being supported in a supportive group environment.
Once a month on a Thursday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

About Us
We started on the 26th July 2022 as a peer support group with the aims of supporting People with their mental health through creativity and photography.Sharing our lived experiences with mental health, and through our experience in creativity and photography we enable individuals to utilise their creative skills to enable and empower themselves in a supportive, fun and friendly way.Today Mindscapes is humbled to have organised events in association with Mental Health Foundation, Chesterfield Borough Council, Thinkfest, and quite a few others.
The leaders of the group have their own lived experience with mental health, long term health conditions, and well-being.All have been on an incredible journey to get to where they are today and have powerful stories to share and are willing and able to offer support to anyone with a listening ear.

Join our team and become mental health first aider.Utilise your training and lived experience to work with other first aiders to soothe, approach, assess, and assist with any crisis, to listen and communicate non-judgmentally, to give support and information, to encourage appropriate professional assistance, and to encourage other support.Contact us for more details.
